Aga Khan Development Network creates Global Pandemic Relief Fund

Overview

In every place we work, the Aga Khan Development Network is at the forefront of the COVID-19 response to provide urgent humanitarian assistance, slow the virus’s spread, care for the infected, and respond to the broad consequences of the virus.

Many supporters have come forward seeking ways to contribute to the AKDN’s uniquely wide-ranging work to address the crisis. The Global Pandemic Relief Fund has been established to respond to this outpouring of generosity and creates a one-stop portal to support this critical work across all AKDN agencies, including FOCUS Humanitarian Assistance.

Our response

Our response to the global threat of COVID-19 includes efforts across multiple areas and is expanding as things change:

  1. Providing emergency food aid, basic medicines, and shelter to vulnerable groups
  2. Supporting a multitude of public health measures to “flatten the curve”
  3. Providing high-quality medical care to those infected

The AKDN response is unique because it brings expertise from all agencies together in a coordinated way. Learn more here.
