Overview
Established in 2023, the Aga Khan Foundation Australia is an Australian international development organisation and part of the global Aga Khan Foundation. It builds partnerships with government, philanthropy, business and civil society across Australia and New Zealand, raises awareness of global development issues, and mobilises resources and expertise for programmes across Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
The Aga Khan Foundation has worked with the Australian Government for over fifteen years to advance lives and livelihoods in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Central Asia and North Africa.
Australians and New Zealanders can get involved through events, volunteering, and fundraising campaigns including the World Partnership Walk.

Australia Governance
Board of Directors
The Board has overall statutory governance responsibility for AKF Australia and maintains an active role in setting its strategy, ensuring coherence with the direction and activities of the Aga Khan Foundation globally and of the wider Aga Khan Development Network.

Aga Khan Foundation Australia is an Interim Full Member of the Australian Council for International Development (ACFID) and a signatory to the ACFID Code of Conduct, which is a voluntary, self-regulatory sector code of good practice. ACFID is the peak Council for Australian not-for-profit aid and development organisations.
As a signatory we are committed and fully adhere to the ACFID Code of Conduct, conducting our work with transparency, accountability and integrity.
