Project Lehar: A wave of change for young women in India
Explore the livelihood centres of Project Lehar, where young women from marginalised communities in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh are learning, leading and transforming their lives.

What happens when girls are given the tools, skills and confidence to rewrite their future?
Hear directly from four inspiring young women who have each taken a different path to independence through Project Lehar. Rachna, for example, went from leaving school early and facing early marriage to becoming a successful entrepreneur and shop owner, university student, and Master Trainer.
Also, meet the dedicated Project Lehar facilitators working on the ground, as they reflect on the transformations they’ve witnessed and the ripple effect of the programme’s community challenge, a dynamic team project that empowers girls to tackle local issues and drive social change.
In partnership with King’s Trust International, Project Lehar delivers vocational training, life skills, and entrepreneurial education to adolescent girls and young women aged 14–29, helping them step into the future with purpose and pride.
