AKDN is one of the world’s leading poverty solutions networks. We make long-term investments, cultivate an active civil society, and build quality institutions – such as clinics, banks and universities – that anchor communities and provide them with opportunities to unlock their potential.
We are committed to innovative programmes that break the cycle of poverty for people in the poorest regions of the world. Our approach encompasses a wide range of investments critical to human development, from early childhood education to health and infrastructure to green space preservation.
But what does all that really mean?
Poverty is a complex problem. The video shows how we can make progress in some of the poorest and most fragile regions in Africa, Asia and the Middle East when we invest across multiple sectors at the same time.
