In safe hands: Meet Awa and Zura
As internally displaced people, Awa and Zura are settling into a new community in Cabo Delgado.
Awa and Zura are among more than a million Mozambicans who have been internally displaced by conflict in Cabo Delgado, Mozambique’s northernmost province.
Awa participates in weekly Safe Space sessions in her community in Mozambique. Zura is a mentor at the Safe Space, where young people can connect with their peers and learn essential life skills.
